Hi, my name is Shawn and I am blogoholic.
(Hi, Shawn!)
I have a compulsion to create new blogs constantly.
How many, you ask?
At the moment, I “own” ten wordpress blogs and one blogspot blog. Eleven all told.
Zalandria was first, of course. That led to Whores And Liars, a political blog (which is now inactive as I am a contributor to Governmentdirt.com). Let us not forget my satirical work at The Peoples’ Free Democratic Republic of Koskovia. Then, in a failed attempt to earn some money through Google Ads, I created Daily Crazy Video, which has earned me about $12 (too little to even receive a payout from Google!).
Six of my blogs are related to courses I have taught or I am teaching (although three were never used as I decided to go a different route).
And now, I have created yet another: The Republic of New England.
This is a serious website dedicated to the secession of the New England states (+New York) and the creation of an independent nation. There isn’t much there at the moment except my dream map and an email link.
If this is a topic that interests you, please contact me! I know there are others out there like me!

There are times when I hate this country. In the last few years, three phenomenal television programs were cancelled well before their time: “Arrested Development” , “Futurama,” and now, sadly, “Jericho.”
Why is it that Americans seem to have so little interest in genuinely funny, or genuinely thoughtful, television programs?
Why is “According to Jim” STILL ON THE AIR?
To my mind, such a state of affairs says a lot about the brain-deadness of this degenerate country, this crumbling fascist empire, this past-its-prime collection of greedy corporate raiders, fat Medieval-minded southerners, ADD-medication-addled children and botox-obsessed crones. This is why I’m a secessionist.
The second season of Jericho proved both excellent and thought-provoking. The story-lines were imaginative and yet carried many warnings of the all-too-possible scenarios that may yet unfold in the near future: a government using terrorism against its own people, the triumph of the “corporate state” and the final defeat of old fashioned American values and the end of American liberties.
God Save the Republic of New England!
