The Devil … ah, the Donald

I saw an internet ad for something called “Trump University” today. I literally laughed out loud, and couldn’t wait to find out what Wikipedia had to say about it. Here it is:

Trump University is an online education company owned and founded by real estate tycoon Donald J. Trump, Sr. It is part of the Trump Organization. It offers correspondence courses in real estate, management, negotiation, entrepreneurship and wealth creation. It is not an actual accredited University.

Trump University does not confer college credits or degrees. Donald Trump brought together education pioneer Roger Schank and professors such as Gary Eldred (Stanford University) and Don Sexton (Columbia University) to work out the curriculum for the subjects.

Trump University offers online courses, packaged audio courses (featuring CDs and links to online material), as well as discussion groups, “The Trump Blog,” the online and the newsletter Inside Trump Tower. It also offers an email newsletter.

Trump University frequently announces speaking dates of Trump and his colleagues.

Trump University has been controversial as a confirmed source of spam. The spam, which originates from servers in Provo, Utah, include offers for pet medications, diet pills, software, loans, photo contests, and mortgage applications. [1] [2] [3] Trump University denies the allegation.

Ha! What a joke. This guy is the biggest douche in the universe (after John Edwards, of course — no, not the philandering former presidential candidate, the “psychic”).

I liked the first season of “The Apprentice,” but it went downhill quickly. Trump is just an egotistical bully who apparently will slap his name on anything, including some fake “university.” I could go on and on, but I won’t.
