50 Worst Songs

Blender has a list of their picks for the 50 worst songs ever.

There are some excellent choices. Naturally, any such list that has Celine Dion must be accurate, although she really should occupy slots 10-1, because she’s such a horrid woman. Other good picks include: Eddy Murphy’s “Party all the time”; Starships’ “We Built This City”; and Toby Keith’s fascist anthem “Courtesy of the Red White and Blue” (seriously, what nationalistic nonsense).

There are 4 songs, however, that I actually like.

If you can guess which 4, I’ll send you a $10 iTunes card!

🙂

    I’ll guess

    REM: Shiny Happy People
    Beatles: Obla Dee Obla Dah
    Wang Chung: Have Fun
Doors: The End, What would Apocalypse Now have been without it?

Bonus Guess: Sunglasses at Night, just because you love the 80s music so much.
2nd Bonus Guess: Don’t worry be happy, because happy go lucky is what you’re all about… Or something like that.

  2. Shawn Says:

    Some good guesses!
    1 of the first 4 is correct;
1 of bonus guesses is correct (because of your flawless logic)

1 of the first 4 I hate; (the theme song from the late 80s)
2 of the first 4 I am indifferent to; (although I like many songs from one of those influential bands)
1 of the bonuses I hate.

  3. JonC Says:

OK, you must hate don’t worry be happy and wang chung because you have good taste. Sorry about those.

That means that you like Sunglasses and… “The end”

So what are the other two you like from the list of the 50?

  4. Shawn Says:

    Well….

    You are correct about “Sunglasses…”

You are correct about “Don’t Worry Be Happy”

Of the first four you guessed… I like Shiny Happy People; I am indifferent to The End and Wang Chung; and I dislike the Beatles tune (which was used as a theme song for “Life Goes On.”

I will go through the list again ASAP and tell you other two!
